Zero trust architect
*Position Summary:*
The Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking a *Zero Trust Architect* to lead the enterprise-wide implementation of *Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA)* in alignment with federal cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ZTA planning, implementation, and governance within *GCC-H/GCC environments* and will be responsible for developing secure architecture strategies across all IT domains.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Lead the *design, planning, and implementation* of Zero Trust Architecture across GPO’s IT infrastructure.
* Develop technical documentation including:
* *System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) plans*
* *Cybersecurity Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM)* artifacts
* *Risk mitigation strategies*
* Create enterprise architecture blueprints for ZTA components, including:
* Identity
* Devices
* Applications
* Networks
* Data
* Automation
* Align ZTA initiatives with *NIST SP 800-207* and *federal Zero Trust maturity models* (e.g., CISA ZT maturity model).
* Monitor and measure ZTA maturity; prepare and support technical assessments, executive briefings, and audits.
* Proactively manage cybersecurity risks and project timelines; provide regular updates and reports to GPO leadership and stakeholders.
*Required Qualifications:*
* Minimum of *3 years of experience* working within *GCC-H (Government Community Cloud High)* or *GCC* environments.
* Proven expertise with *NIST*, *CISA*, and *federal Zero Trust Architecture models*.
* Demonstrated success in leading *enterprise-level security architecture projects* in complex environments.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with technical teams and executive stakeholders.
* Proficiency in developing technical documentation and architecture roadmaps.
*Education:*
* *Bachelor’s degree* in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
* *Master’s degree preferred.*
*Preferred Certifications:*
* TOGAF, SABSA, CISSP, or equivalent enterprise security architecture certifications.
* Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, or RMF is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,247.30 - $156,856.97 per year
