Role – IT Lab Support EngineerLocation: Boston, MA (Onsite)ContractRate - $45/hr C2CJob Summary:We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Lab Support Engineer to manage, maintain, and support IT lab infrastructure, systems, and end-user devices. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware/software issues, configuring systems, supporting network connectivity, and ensuring smooth lab operations for users and technical teams.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT lab equipment.Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and lab tools.Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.Maintain IT lab inventory, asset tracking, and documentation.Support user account management, permissions, and access requests.Ensure systems, devices, and lab environments are functioning efficiently and securely.Coordinate with internal IT teams and vendors for issue resolution and maintenance activities.Perform system backups, updates, patching, and preventive maintenance.Assist in setup and support for training sessions, testing environments, and technical workshops.Follow IT policies, security standards, and compliance procedures.Required Skills:Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems.Hands-on experience with desktop/laptop troubleshooting and hardware support.Basic understanding of networking concepts, printers, and peripheral devices.Familiarity with Active Directory, ticketing tools, and remote support tools.Good understanding of software installation, imaging, and system configuration.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
