Financial Controller

Someone who doesn’t just close the books—but takes pride in keeping them clean, accurate, and rock-solid. The kind of person who notices when something’s off, fixes it, and leaves things better than they found them.This role sits at the center of the financial engine of S.D. Ireland. You’ll work closely with leadership, have real visibility into the business, and play a key role in strengthening the processes that support our continued growth. Responsibilities:· Prepare monthly financial statements · Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries· Maintain accurate supporting detail for account balances· Reconcile due to/from between related parties· Prepare or assist in preparing annual budgets· Oversee day-to-day operations of AR and AP· Ensure that companies are in full compliance with all tax reporting requirements, (1099 issuance, sales taxes, etc.)· Ensure proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records· Coordinate and/or participate in projects as neededQualifications:· Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)· Prior experience in accounting required, CPA preferred· Understanding of construction accounting preferred· Self-motivated and reliable with a high degree of responsibility including confidentiality, sense of urgency, and accountability.· Knowledge of accounting practices, policies, and procedures.· Strong analytical skills and ability to research and resolve accounting discrepancies· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities and deadlines· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.Why Join S.D.
