By helping prevent future health risks and ensuring access to gold-standard veterinary medicine and individualized support when it matters most–we aim to enable $1/2B in life-extending and life-saving treatment over the next five years.Job SummaryPumpkin is seeking a Digital Designer to help bring our brand, products, and services to life across digital touchpoints – from websites and landing pages to email, social, blogs, and campaigns designed for pet parents and the veterinary community. This role is about translating thoughtful ideas into clear, compelling design that earns attention, drives growth, and shines a light on the joys and challenges of modern pet parenthood. You’ll be part of an award-winning creative team pushing the category forward, collaborating with marketing, experience, and product partners to deliver high-impact content and digital experiences across pet health, wellness, and insurance. Grow your craft while helping shape a brand on a mission to create a better world for pets and their people.Job Location: Hybrid – New York, NY, with a minimum requirement of 2-3 days in the New York City office.Main ResponsibilitiesDevelop strategic, intuitive design concepts and translate them into impactful digital executions that are on brief, on brand, and aligned to marketing goals.Design, build, and optimize websites and landing pages using platforms like Wix to create informative, engaging experiences that drive action.Design and produce digital assets and content across web, email, paid media, social, and campaigns that cut through clutter, clearly communicate our value, and resonate with pet parents and veterinary partners.Design, test, and iterate on assets through A/B testing across landing pages, emails, blogs, and other digital touchpoints.Use simple animations, GIFs, and interaction cues to enhance clarity, engagement, and usability in digital experiences.Partner with the creative director, copywriters, senior designers, and stakeholders across marketing, experience, and product teams to deliver cohesive, high-performing design solutions across channels.Apply and support the evolution of Pumpkin’s visual identity through scalable, reusable digital assets and components.Incorporate usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and SEO considerations into designs for inclusive, effective content and experiences.Stay current on design trends, digital marketing best practices, and new tools – including AI design tools – applying learnings to improve team output.Basic QualificationsBA or BFA in art/design, communications design, or a related field3+ years of professional experience in digital or web design, with demonstrated ownership of marketing-focused creative workA portfolio showcasing digital-first design across web, email, social, and other relevant marketing channels, with examples of motion where applicableProficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and Illustrator)Experience designing and building within web and email platforms like Wix and IterableExperience using motion and animation tools such as After Effects, Animate, or similar to create simple animations and GIFsWorking knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to build, edit, and troubleshoot web and email experiencesUnderstanding of UX/UI fundamentals, accessibility standards (WCAG), SEO-aware design principles, and experimentation best practicesAbility to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, stay organized, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environmentA passion for pets and improving the lives of animals and the people who care for themPreferred QualificationsExperience with video editingExperience with print, collateral, and/or direct mailFamiliarity with analytics or experimentation tools used to support testing and optimizationAll of our jobs come with great benefits including healthcare, parental leave and opportunities for career advancements.
