Performance Engineer II (Remote)

About the Opportunity:The Performance Engineer II plays a crucial role in implementing and maintaining quality processes within the IT Testing organization. This position leads performance testing efforts, partnering with multiple project teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. The role involves overseeing day-to-day test management and long-term planning while working closely with cross-functional and global stakeholders to align performance objectives and improve system performance.3. Responsibilities:• Lead performance testing initiatives, providing guidance and mentorship• Design and execute performance test plans• Analyze test results to identify issues and recommend optimizations• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements• Maintain and enhance testing scripts and tools• Debug and perform root cause analysis of performance bottlenecks• Conduct detailed performance test analysis including thread level, garbage collection, heap dump, and thread contention analysis• Provide actionable performance tuning recommendations• Identify challenges and propose continuous improvements in performance engineering• Develop and implement performance testing strategies and frameworks• Define performance requirements and goals with stakeholders• Align performance objectives with US teams, cross POD Tech leads, and global stakeholders• Partner with Product and Development teams to extract non-functional requirements from business needs4. Requirements:• Bachelor''s Degree with 4 years of experience as a systems engineer or systems programmer, or High School Diploma or GED with 8 years of experience in the same roles• Strong business knowledge of financial systems; experience with digital banking platforms preferred• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail• Effective communication, documentation, teamwork, and leadership skills• Solid understanding of performance testing concepts• Experience with tools such as Neoload, Load Runner, and JMeter• In-depth diagnostic skills beyond tool execution, including heap dump expertise• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Java or Python• Knowledge of system architecture, databases, and network protocols• Experience with performance monitoring and tuning5.
