Construction Superintendent

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from start to finish. As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications and quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of job sites and compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities - Coordinate and supervise all construction activities - Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget - Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate construction - Implement and enforce safety regulations at all times - Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and team members - Utilize construction management software for project tracking and reporting Requirements Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, including scheduling, coordinating subcontractors, and managing resources. Quality Control: Ensure that construction work meets or exceeds industry standards, building codes, and project specifications. Safety Management: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations, conducting safety meetings and ensuring job site safety. Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of materials, labor, and equipment. Team Leadership: Direct and supervise construction workers, subcontractors, and site staff, ensuring productivity and quality. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during construction promptly and efficiently. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure all parties are aligned on project goals. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, report on financial performance, and work to keep the project on or under budget. Documentation: Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and ensure proper documentation of all project activities.
