CHANDLER UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICTJob DescriptionClassification: Certified ClassroomJob Title: Secondary Online Classroom TeacherReports To: Online Academy DirectorSalary: CertifiedJob GoalTo lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential by translating the district curriculum standards and objectives into meaningful learning experiences through classroom instruction and indirectly through special area assignments.Online Instructors are required to provide evening and weekend support to students in the form of telephone calls, emails, response to submitted assignments within online courses, and virtual tutoring. About 50% of the Online Instructor responsibilities described below will be completed remotely with the exception of training/staff meetings, and about 50% will be daily in-person responsibilities Monday-Friday including nights to 7:00 PM. In-person schedule is fluid and determined by course completion schedules. Example shifts could include, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm and 12:30 pm - 7:00 pm. All staff must be available 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. Online Instructors must have a home computer with speakers/audio capability and high speed internet access.
