On-Site Project Manager
The On-Site Project Manager is responsible for the on-site management of Cooper Steel’s projects across the country. They will ensure the safe, timely, and cost-efficient completion of projects by overseeing all phases of erection. This includes but is not limited to working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate thedelivery and storage of equipment and material, operate within budget, and monitor/track progress of the projectPromote Cooper Steel’s culture throughout the jobsite by maintaining Cooper Steel’s core priorities: Safety, Quality, and ProductionEnforce company safety policies and maintain a strong, safe, cultureEnsure the smooth and efficient steel erection of projectsUse erection and fabrication drawings to ensure structural steel is installed per design and in accordance to Cooper Steel’s quality standardsWork with Project Managers to maintain an accurate schedule that meets the needs of the customerWork with shipping coordinators to ensure delivery schedules meet the needs of the erector and project as a wholeBe a liaison between the general contractor and the steel erection subcontractorsWork alongside and negotiate with subcontractors to meet the needs of the projectCoordinate and communicate with the customer to maintain an accurate understanding of their needs concerning the projectStay well versed in and up to date on all drawings and design changesComplete all required paperwork as needed including RFI’s, NCRs, daily reports, progress trackers, etc.Develop and maintain strong relationships with all customers and sub-contractors involved in projectAct in accordance with Cooper Steel’s best interest.Other duties as assigned QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
