Technical Program Manager – Avionics / AerospaceWe’re looking for a Technical Program Manager with a strong engineering background to lead new product development programs within a highly technical avionics environment.This isn’t a role for someone who only tracks schedules and action items. We need someone who can sit down with electrical, software, mechanical, systems, and test engineers, understand the technical challenges, and help drive the program forward.What You’ll DoOwn programs from initial requirements through design, qualification, certification, and deliveryManage schedule, budget, scope, milestones, risks, and technical deliverablesCoordinate electrical, mechanical, software, systems, test, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teamsLead engineering milestones and reviews including PDR, CDR, and TRRDrive prototype builds, qualification testing, and transition into productionIdentify technical risks and remove roadblocks before they impact schedule or deliveryWork directly with customers and aircraft manufacturers on program status, requirements, design changes, and technical issuesSupport development programs aligned with DO-160, DO-254, and DO-178CCoordinate with Quality and Certification teams on FAA/EASA and AS9100 requirementsThe Technical SideYou don’t need to be the engineer designing the product, but you need to understand what your engineering teams are working through.You’ll be involved in conversations around:Avionics hardware and electronicsEmbedded software and systemsElectrical and mechanical designAircraft interfaces and installationsWiring and connector designEnvironmental qualification testingProduct/system specifications and requirementsVerification and compliance matricesTest plans, technical documentation, and non-conformance issuesWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline7+ years of engineering experience, ideally within avionics, aerospace, or defense5+ years of Project or Program Management experienceExperience leading new product development / NPI programsStrong understanding of engineering development, testing, and manufacturing processesFamiliarity with DO-160, DO-254, and/or DO-178CExperience managing schedules, budgets, risks, requirements, and cross-functional technical teamsComfortable working directly with both engineers and customersNice to HaveFlight deck, cockpit controls/displays, or aircraft installation experiencePMP or similar certificationMaster’s degree in Engineering or MBAExperience leading or mentoring engineersERP/MRP experience within a manufacturing environmentThe profile we’re really looking for: someone who started on the engineering side and moved into Project/Program Management — but still has the technical depth to challenge engineering teams, understand design issues, and keep complex aerospace programs moving.
