Neurosurgery NP – No Weekends | $155–$165/hr + Benefits | Outpatient Clinic – Locum

A leading academic medical center in San Francisco, CA is seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner to join its busy outpatient neuro-spine surgery clinic. This locum tenens role offers competitive hourly pay, weekday-only schedule, and the opportunity to support a collaborative team of surgeons, APPs, and physiatrists. Key Responsibilities: Manage outpatient neuro-spine patients, including post-op and follow-up visits Conduct patient exams, triage calls, and coordinate care plans Order and interpret imaging, labs, and medications Perform wound care, staple/drain removal, and medication management Optional: administer injections (trigger point, hip, knee) if experienced Collaborate with a team of 7 APPs, 5 surgeons, and 2 physiatrists Document in Epic EMR Requirements: Active California NP license and DEA with Schedule II & IIN authority Board Certification (A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC) BLS certification Minimum 2–3 years of experience in neuro-spine, ortho spine, or pain management (neurology APPs with spine experience considered) Prior academic medical center experience strongly preferred Benefits: $155–$165/hour (all-inclusive) Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Malpractice coverage provided 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid credentialing support and travel coordination Referral bonus opportunities Compensation & Schedule: Hourly pay: $155–$165/hr Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no weekends, no holidays) 4–6 month contract with possible extension Immediate start (October 2025) Apply now through NPHire.com to be considered.
