Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. This role is responsible for programming, optimizing, and supporting CNC machining operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and repeatability. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working closely with machinists and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Program CNC mills using Mastercam
Develop efficient machining strategies for complex, tight-tolerance parts
Create and optimize toolpaths, feeds, speeds, and cycle times
Support setup, first-article runs, and troubleshooting on the shop floor
Work from engineering drawings, models, and specifications
Select tooling and fixturing; collaborate on fixture design when needed
Revise programs based on inspection feedback and process improvements
Maintain organized program documentation and revision control
Support continuous improvement, lean practices, and shop standardization
Required Qualifications
3+ years of CNC programming experience in a production machine shop
Strong understanding of CNC milling processes
Proficiency with CAM software (Mastercam mandatory)
Ability to read and interpret GD&T and complex engineering drawings
Experience machining aluminum, steel, stainless, and exotic alloys
Solid understanding of cutting tools, workholding, and inspection methods
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
