Job DescriptionPosition Title: Senior VMware EngineerLocation: Washington, DC (on-site)Clearance: TS/SCI. Due to the nature of this government contract, U.S. Citizenship is required.NEOSTEK, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior VMware Engineer who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of an organization's VMware environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VMware technologies, virtualization planning, and systems administration. This role requires a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information). While a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, equivalent experience is also considered. While certifications are preferred, they are not mandatory.Responsibilities:Determining business needs and evaluating existing network and virtual infrastructure and systems. Optimizing network hardware and software for VMware integration. Developing and deploying customized VMware solutions, secure and high performance base images, and role/function based server and end-user virtual machines. Virtualizing Windows servers and connecting them to network and cloud infrastructure. Installing operating systems, service packs, security patches, and bug fixes. Troubleshooting and resolving VMware environment and VM issues. Keeping informed of developments in VMware technologies and products. Providing expert VMware support, documentation, and standard operating procedures. Other duties as assigned. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (equivalent experience also considered). VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing virtual machine environments (VMware, Citrix, etc.), with a minimum of 3 years of experience managing VMware technologies. Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems administration. Proficiency in VMware vSphere, vCenter, etc., and Windows Server, SAN architecture, and related technologies. Proficiency with scripting through PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, etc. Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access. Must be a US citizen.
