Technology Support Specialist with Security Clearance
Position Title: Technology Support Specialist Division: Potawatomi Training Location: Anniston, AL Compensation Plan: SCA Employment Class: Full Time-Regular Position Summary The Technology Support Specialist reports directly to the Technology Support Team Lead and provides technical support as well as maintenance of technology-related equipment in support of both instructors and students. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide on-site setup, support, and troubleshooting of equipment, for instructor-led classroom training, conducted at the CDPProperly secure, store, and maintain equipment, including restoration of factory settings, uploading of new documents/software as requested, and sanitization of equipmentResponsible for the inventory, documentation, and possible repair of all equipmentInstruct end users (both instructors and students) on hardware and software applicationsAssist users with technical problems; respond to special requests and last-minute changesCommunicate regularly with Technology Support Team Lead, PMO staff and Corporate IT staff, regarding status of support efforts and new requirements related to training support technologyConfigure, test and integrate new hardware/software and coordinate the purchasing of parts and/or equipmentAssist with set up and operation for special events and functions both on and off siteCreate update and maintain virtual machine images for student issued equipmentDevelop and/or assist in the development of CDP software technologiesAdhere to company policies and procedures; meets established deadlinesDemonstrates a commitment to continued professional growth and developmentWorks effectively with a team and is respectful of colleaguesAccept constructive criticism and is receptive to changes in the work environmentOther duties as assigned Education, Certification & Experience RequirementsHigh School graduate or GED equivalent required; Associates Degree preferredDemonstrate experience with maintaining equipment including; but not limited to, electronic tablets, laptops, and printersExperience securely maintaining software, on non-networked equipmentExperience creating, using, and managing virtual machines Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of MS Windows 10 and Office 2013 and higherPossess problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with Apple softwareSolid Understanding of basic networkingOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in both Mac and Windows environmentsSelf-motivated, critical thinker, thrives in a small team environmentBasic familiarity with web development programing languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP)Must be able to work occasional weekends and flexible hoursKnowledge of CDP training environment and/or curriculum preferred #clearancejobs Potawatomi Training, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
