Support Analyst ICharlotte, NC12-month contract with potential for extension or full-time conversion.Work authorization required now and in future. No visa sponsorship available.No Corp-to-Corp or 1099 arrangements. W-2 only.Brooksource is searching for a Support Analyst to join our Fortune 500 Energy & Utilities Client. In this role, you’ll deliver monitoring and issue resolution for Data Center Infrastructure and applications considered critical to business operations. Responsibilities will include providing support for workstations, servers, storage systems, mobile devices and various software across IT. Offer tier I support for Enterprise Infrastructure environments – including Client Server, Windows, Linux, Storage, Citrix, IIS, Web/Middleware – as well as Enterprise Batch Level Support. This position will be a rotating schedule, 6:00pm – 6:00am.Responsibilities will include:Provide proactive and predictive monitoring, support, and problem resolution of all data center infrastructure and software environments, storage, printing, networking, and batch environments.Setup/modify, monitor, and track the client server production batch job flows.Perform Server Reboots or system restarts (IPL) as needed.Provide support internally for any technical issues requiring escalation.Participates on projects teams to provide support and consultation as needed.Participates in rotational schedule to assist with heavy patch deployment nights (e.g. Thursday and Saturday).Participates in ongoing cross-training of technical and process knowledge.Review and complete incident, work order, e-Form, and other IT infrastructure related requests.Lead and participate in service disruption events and disaster recovery exercises.Assist in determining, planning, and implementing necessary changes to the IT infrastructure as needed.Develop and promote standard processes and procedures.Identify and implement automation opportunities.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer scienceIn addition to required degree, 1-year related work experienceIn lieu of bachelor’s degree(s) AND 1 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 3 year(s) related work experienceDesired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business (MIS) or related discipline.Strong collaboration and customer service skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.Hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking product.Familiar with Data Network/Transport Environments.Highly motivated, flexible, and full of initiative.Ability to lead amongst peers to fulfill requests and resolve issues.Ability to analyze, resolve, and document problems and resolution.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience and working knowledge of:Virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix)Data Center working environmentWindows server and desktop operating systems.Linux and UNIX server operating systems.Storage Area Network InfrastructureEight Eleven Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
