Guided by our values of safety, loyalty, integrity and respect, we are committed to delivering meaningful value for shareholders, customers, employees and the communities where we operate.Opportunity SummaryAs Account Manager, you will be responsible for serving as a liaison between Corporate Accounts, Strategic Regional Accounts, Smurfit Westrock plants and Customer locations while effectively providing specialized support for designated Smurfit Westrock customers.Additionally, this position will provide a value-based selling approach to engage Smurfit Westrock resources at designated locations to ensure customer critical business issues/needs are met.How You Will Impact Smurfit WestrockServe as the liaison between Smurfit Westrock and customer to support supplier plants in improving overall customer serviceCreate project plans and oversee end-to-end development of customer specifications, logistics, and troubleshooting customersEnsure the needs of customers are met while aligning to meet MD business objectivesAssist with budget development and management cross-functionally with Sales and Financial ManagersDevelop understanding of customers’ market landscape to proactively identify areas of opportunities to add additional value, improve efficiency, and provide training for customer manufacturing linesManage both internal and external customer relationships, providing value-added sales and service support solutions to deliver ongoing valueComplete and develop Opportunity Plans that are in support of and align with Corporate Account’s Key Account Profiles (KAP’s)Review Opportunity Plans with VP Sales on a regular basisPartner with production, manufacturing, and account team to ensure customer needs are properly communicatedWhat You Need To SucceedBachelor’s degree preferred3 to 5 years of experience in corrugated sales preferredSales experience in food-grade and foodservice packaging is a plus. 5+ years of related experience in sales, project management, and/or technical trainingProven track record in product sales involving customer-driven development (e.g., trial solutions built with customer input). Experience with packaging processes and materials such as lamination, extrusion, plastics, printing, and substrate/film customization.
