Field Service Technician (Casa Grande)

I have a direct hire opening for a Field Service Technician in Casa Grande, AZ with a company that performs on-site gas handling and service work for utility and industrial customers.In this role, you will travel to customer sites and work on gas handling equipment used on electrical power systems.This is hands-on field work performed at substations and industrial sites where the equipment is de-energized, locked out/tagged out, and grounded before work begins.You will carry out the gas handling and service work, handle the job from start to finish, and complete the required documentation for compliance.Direct Hire Opportunity – Be on our client's payroll from Day 1!Pay and Shift Information:Pay range: $20–$35/hour depending on experienceWork schedule: Your schedule each week is based on the jobs you're assigned to, and the number of hours needed to complete themTravel Expectations:Travel is required for this role, with about 80% of your time spent out on jobsMost jobs are within driving distance and you will drive to the site. Depending on the job, you may return home or stay near the siteSome jobs require flying out to other locations, where you will stay near the site until the work is finishedTravel Expenses: Company credit card is provided to cover flights, hotels, and meals while working away from homeJob Duties of the Field Service Technician:Travel to customer sites including substations, mobile substations, power plants, and industrial facilities, where you will work around gas-insulated equipment such as high-voltage circuit breakers and gas-insulated switchgearUse gas handling equipment on site, including gas carts with compressors and vacuum pumps, along with hoses and cylinders, to recover gas, pull vacuum, and refill systemsSet up hoses and cylinders, weigh cylinders before and after use, and handle the setup and breakdown of the equipment for each jobUse analyzers to test gas for purity, moisture, and byproducts, and use leak detection tools to identify leaks while performing the workPerform service work on the gas handling equipment, including working through issues with pumps and electrical components such as contactorsComplete all required job documentation, including recording the gas work performed and the condition of the system before and after the jobWork on equipment that has been de-energized, follow LOTO procedures, and follow the safety requirements for each site before and during the workCommunicate with customers on site, provide updates on the work being performed, and represent the company professionallyBenefits of the Field Service Technician:Employer paid 100% of medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums for the employee401(k) retirement plan10 paid holidays18 days PTO, available after a 90-day probationary periodJob Requirements of the Field Service Technician:Have experience in a hands-on technical role such as field service technician, industrial maintenance, or electro-mechanical workSubstation or utility experience is preferred, or hands-on work around power distribution equipment in industrial or power generation environmentsCandidates with mechanical experience working with pumps, hoses, pneumatics, cylinders, or similar equipment will be consideredUse a digital multimeter to verify power at the equipment, check circuits, and troubleshoot electrical components such as contactorsAbility to follow safety procedures and not take shortcuts in high-risk environmentsStrong attention to detail with paperwork and documentationValid driver's license requiredMust be age 25+ due to insurance requirementsMust be able to pass a background check and drug screenMust be able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and complete electronic logsMust be able to obtain a passport after hireAPPLY NOW!
