R.S. Audley, Inc. has a full-time opening for a Pile Driver/Welder. This position is essential in providing support for bridge, roadway, and specialty projects. Job Description Summary: A Pile Driver/Welder is an integral part of a small group of highly skilled individuals that install driven and drilled piles, excavation support structures, and cofferdams. Daily activities include working with cranes, pile driving equipment, drilling equipment, excavators, and other heavy equipment. Daily activities also include working with welding and cutting equipment and small tools. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes company contributed medical and dental insurance. General Requirements: · Must demonstrate safe and ethical behavior at all times. · Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to take direction. · Must be punctual and prepared to work with a sense of purpose every day. · Must be able to integrate and work harmoniously with a small work crew (3-5 people). · Applicants must be flexible regarding work hours and geography. The geographic range of our work is generally within a 2 hour driving radius of Bow, NH. Most of our work is within 1 hour of Bow, NH. · Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from work every day. Carpooling is not guaranteed. · Must be able to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50-90 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance. · Able to work in heights up to 120 feet, often required to climb ladders, scaffolding and stair towers, while also being able to walk on uneven surfaces in varying weather conditions. · Preference is given to applicants with current OSHA 10/OSHA 30 certification. · High school diploma or GED · Any combination of education or experience that demonstrates that the individual has the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work. Specific Skills and Technical Requirements: · Must be proficient with oxy-fuel cutting and SMAW (stick welding). · Proficiency with FCAW (self-shield and dualshield) is desirable. · Preference will be given to applicants with current AWS D1.1/D1.5 SMAW 3G welding certifications. · All applicants must be able to pass an AWS D1.5 SMAW 3G 1” plate test upon hiring. · Must be able to consistently safely operate and maintain small tools associated with welding and fabrication work (cutting torches, grinders, scalers, etc.) About R.S.
