Job Description Pay Rate: $23/hrWorker Schedule: M-F 7 AM-3:30 PMDescription:Position Purpose: Support the Quality Control Seed Health lab by performing standardized processes and quality control testing.Primary Tasks And Responsibilities:Complete standardized procedures for detection and quantification of bacteria, viruses, and fungi in vegetable seedsRead and understand work instructions and proceduresApply aseptic technique and defined hygiene procedures to ensure quality and containment of plant pathogensAccurately record and enter test resultsPerform repetitive work while maintaining focus on detail and quality (e.g. grinding vegetable seeds, washing lab dishes, and autoclaving materials)Recognize and report deviations from standard proceduresLearn and follow safety proceduresContribute to enhancing safety cultureContribute to miscellaneous lab improvement projectsApply basic laboratory and math skillsAccountability:Follows standardized protocols and report any deviationsReliable team contributorStrong communicatorAbility to prioritize and multitaskMinimum Education And Experience Requirements:High School Diploma (minimum)Bachelor’s in Science, Biology or related field preferredWorking Conditions:1-2 years of experience as a Lab Technician preferredLaboratory work, including growth room/chamberProlonged periods of standing, sitting, and bending performing repetitive tasksOccasional lifting 30-40 lbs., frequent lifting of 15-20 lbs.Handling of quarantine plant pathogens in a restricted facility.Company DescriptionAA2IT is in this business to make you successful.
