Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse IILocation: Concord, NC 28026Duration: 8+ months contractNote: Onsite in Concord, 5-25 hours per week. Shortlisting on 4/1.Summary of Job:The Occupational Registered Nurse will provide nursing assessments, treatments and recommendations for employees related to illness or injury within their Scope of Practice. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assessing injury or illness, documenting findings, formulating and educating on treatment plans, and performing medical interventions within the RN scope of practice.Must-have/Required skills:Minimum 5+ years Registered Nurse experienceActive and current state RN licenseCurrent CPR CertificationBSN – Bachelor's degree in NursingStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsComputer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Electronic Medical Record systemsAbility to assess patients, document findings, and provide treatment plansKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Administration regulations and privacy/confidentiality standardsNice-to-have skills:Occupational Health experienceCertified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN | COHN-S)Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, or Med/Surg nursing experienceExperience in manufacturing or corporate health environmentExperience promoting health and safety programsKey responsibilities and duties:Provide nursing assessments, treatments, and recommendations for employee illness or injuryTake vital signs, assess injuries/illnesses, and document findingsDevelop and educate employees on treatment plansPerform medical interventions within RN scope of practiceMaintain medical records in compliance with regulatory and confidentiality requirementsSupport site Emergency Response ProgramManage disability processes and coordinate with insurance carriers, benefits, workers' compensation, and medical providersSupport absence management and return-to-work programs through PIIMAssist with FMLA tracking and compliancePerform required medical surveillance exams per regulatory standardsParticipate in health and safety programs (wellness initiatives, flu shots, etc.)Participate in pandemic preparedness planningCoordinate with external occupational medical providersManage medical inventory
