This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For moreinformation, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/13437872Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a**2ndShift Welder**for our facility in Lucas, KSThis position works Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00m., with overtime on Fridays as required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities**: Load fixtures and weld parts as required Safely use all tools necessary for the position Maintain inventory accuracy at all times Read blueprints and utilize AWS weld symbols as required for theposition Consistently achieve quality welds while staying on productionschedule Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications,physical demands, and/or work environment.Preferred Skills And Qualifications MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test, as required. Ability to give strong attention to detail and stay on-task in afast-paced environment Have a good understanding of team concepts and be a strong teamplayer Ability to read blueprints and recognize AWS weld symbols Ability to safely use hand and power tools and welding equipment Capable of embracing a culture of Lean Manufacturing and willing toaccept/implement change Ability to follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations andwear prescribed safety and protective equipmentAt Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, makingour company a great place to work and grow.
