Max of 5 months Drivers License: Preferred Salary: $14.00 per hour Minimum Age: 16 Shift: Days Occupational License: None Required Summary Statement: The Seasonal Park Maintenance position will be responsible for assisting maintenance staff with all aspects of maintaining the park grounds and its facilities. This will include, but not be limited to, mowing grass, weeding and mulching landscape beds, pruning/trimming and hazardous tree removal, picking up and removing trash, cleaning restrooms, the cleaning and repair of structures, hiking/biking trail maintenance, painting, fixing/replacing fence and participation in projects involving carpentry, and plumbing work. Employees will be required to work outside in all weather conditions. Essential Functions: Performs grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, trail maintenance, landscape bed maintenance, trash removal, vegetation removal, tree removal and slash cleanup. Performs custodial services in restrooms, offices and other buildings. Operation of landscaping equipment and use of hand and power tools. Set-up, monitoring and clean-up support for park programs and special events. Maintains good public relations with park visitors and staff. Provides excellent customer service and park information to visitors. Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills. Maintain a positive attitude.
