This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional who is eager to grow their technical skills while working with enterprise file transfer technologies, security protocols, and application support. The role is primarily focused on supporting, maintaining, and improving a managed file transfer platform, including user onboarding, ticket resolution, application support, and process improvement initiatives. You will work closely with internal application teams and external vendor/trading partners to ensure secure design standards and platform reliability. The position offers a hybrid schedule based in Charlotte, NC, and is a 12-month W2 contract with potential for extension or conversion.What You'll DoSupport application patching, upgrades, and maintenance for file transfer platforms on Linux and Windows serversAdminister and govern file transfer accounts, including account security and details managementProvide Tier 1, 2, and 3 support for data movement solutions, application integration, and data securityTroubleshoot client connection issues, file transfer failures, and data movement problemsContribute to platform security hardening and standardization for secure data storage and transferCollaborate with internal application teams and external vendor/trading partners to ensure adherence to secure design standardsSupport automation integration projects, automate alert reporting for critical issues, and gain visibility into data and opportunities for analysisDesign and implement standards, procedures, and automation processes to improve efficiency and platform reliabilityAssist with user onboarding, ticket resolution, and ongoing application support for the MFT platformWhat You Bring1–3 years of experience in Systems Administration, Application Support, Help Desk, Infrastructure Support, or a related IT roleStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience working with Windows and/or Linux environmentsUnderstanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshootingExperience managing user accounts, permissions, or Active Directory environmentsStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teamsSelf-motivated, eager to learn, and proactive in identifying and resolving issuesFamiliarity with secure file transfer technologies (SFTP, AS2, NFS, SSO, SSL/TLS) preferredExperience supporting a Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform preferredExposure to enterprise application support environments preferredFamiliarity with automation, scripting, or workflow improvement initiatives preferredExperience working with external vendors, clients, or trading partners preferredKnowledge of cybersecurity best practices related to secure data movement and file transfer technologies preferred
