Academic Support Specialist

Position SummaryThe Academic Support Specialist will support students' academic success by providing academic coaching, group, and individual tutoring, and facilitating active learning through workshops, events, and collaboration with staff and faculty. The Specialist is also responsible for assisting with the training and mentoring of tutors, conducting workshops, and coordinating and recordkeeping.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in education or related field preferred Proficiency in ongoing data collection and managementProficiency with the use of excel and/or other spreadsheet programsMinimum 3 years of experience working with students in a remediation settingPositive experience working with small groups of students for remediationPositive experience collaborating with classroom teachers
