Human Resources Intern
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: Overall responsibility of this internship is to work in conjunction with the Department of Human Resources covering a multitude of duties with emphasis on the following: working under the guidance of Department members on updating all job descriptions for NI, NII and NAI, partaking in interview process speaking with Nikon employees in order to update job descriptions, assist in drafting job descriptions and updating applicant flow log accurately categorizing resumes. In addition, Internship responsibilities will include screening potential employees' resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill company job vacancies. organizing interviews and posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms. An opportunity to learn the overall realm of Human Resources will be offered, to provide a well-rounded knowledge base of Human Resources.DESCRIBE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Work under the guidance of HR Department Members, learning about the formulation of job descriptions and assist in updating and writing job descriptions for NI, NII and NAI.Take part in all phases of the process including but not limited: interviewing with incumbents and drafting job descriptions to include Job identification, Job Summary, Identifying the Essential and Ancillary Functions and Qualifications.Screening potential employees' resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill company job vacancies.Organizing interviews with selected candidates.Posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms.Removing job advertisements from job boards and social media platforms once vacancies have been filled.Assist in updating position flow chart. Assist in updating applicant flow log ensuring accurate categorization of resumes.Ancillary responsibilities:All other duties as required or needed.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Actively pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business / HR Management High School Diploma requiredProficiency in Word and ExcelUnderstanding of key human resources conceptsProficient verbal and written communication skillsProficient time and project management skillsProficient analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient administrative and organizational skills.Detail-oriented.
