The candidate will have the opportunity to grow and learn with talented engineers, physicists, and technicians on long-standing programs and new programs supporting our customers.The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for the organization of parts and materials related to the Production Engineering Team.Core Responsibilities:Receive items into inventoryPerform regular inventory countsCommunicate with various people within Supply Chain about status, issues, concerns, quantitiesMaintain database of all items within area assignedAble to give accurate inventory counts at all timesLead and train people within their areaEnsure people are working in accordance with rules and regulations so no damage happens to inventoryWork with stock pickers to ensure the right materials are loaded correctly for movementMaintain the inventory areaClean, organize, and label per our ISO 9001 quality standardsCreate product definitions, items, and parts within the MRP SystemLocate suppliers and gather information about parts and services to be orderedCompare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliersInput Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOM) into the MRP SystemCreate purchase requisitions and track material lead timesPart cleaning and kitting prior to technician assemblyClear understanding of Manufacturing and Sales Orders within the MRP SystemRequirements:High School Diploma or GED5 – 7 years inventory experienceStrong organization skillsHigh attention to detailSelf-starter with a strong work ethicStrong communication and interpersonal skillsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Procurement software, email)US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearanceMay require light physical effort, involving standing, sitting and use of hands while performing duties, carrying or lifting up to 30 poundsWorking environment is indoor, moderately quiet, reasonably clean, well-lighted, and well-ventilated; moderate physical hazards may existPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field8 – 10 years of relevant experiencePurchasing / Procurement experienceExperience using Deltek Costpoint (MRP System / Materials Module)Active DoD or DoE security clearanceForklift experienceMilitary experienceSARA offers a competitive benefits package to include:Medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance; and other supplemental programsA generous PTO program (vacation, sick, holiday)Tuition & certification reimbursementFlexible work schedulesDiscretionary Employee bonuses401(k) match/profit sharingEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Pay RangeSalary at SARA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $20 to $33 (hourly USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of SARA’s total compensation package for employees.
