Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers. Exercises sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to support the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner. Communicates changes in cardiac rhythms or dysrhythmias to the appropriate member of the health care team, according to policy and procedure." Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames." Maintains equipment and understands procedures and treatments performed by physicians." Mentors and fosters a constructive environment that helps students and new nursing professionals build confidence in their skills, knowledge and abilities.NURSING SERVICES" Provides appropriate, direct patient care to patients under the supervision of the RN." Performs selected procedures, including but limited to: taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure), collecting specimens, admission, transfer and discharge procedures." Provides basic patient care relating to nutrition, elimination, hygiene and mobility." Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames." Maintains equipment and understands procedures and treatments performed by physicians." Explains and educates the patient on process of examinations, tests and medical procedures in a clear and professional manner to alleviate fear and anxiety."
