OverviewThe Chemical Technician supports field operations by managing, monitoring, and optimizing chemical treatment programs across oil and gas facilities.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain chemical injection systems across wells, pipelines, and production facilitiesPerform routine sampling and testing of water, oil, and gas to evaluate treatment effectivenessAdjust chemical injection rates based on field conditions and lab resultsTroubleshoot chemical pumps, injection systems, and related equipmentMaintain accurate records of chemical usage, inventory, and treatment performanceCoordinate chemical deliveries and manage on-site inventory levelsEnsure proper storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals in accordance with safety and environmental regulationsWork closely with operations, production, and engineering teams to optimize chemical programsConduct field inspections to identify corrosion, scaling, paraffin, or other production issuesFollow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and hazard communication standardsQualifications1+ years of experience in oil and gas, chemical treating, or related field required.Basic understanding of chemical treatment processes (corrosion inhibition, scale control, etc.)Experience with chemical injection systems and field equipment preferredHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, fit for duty and agility.
