Analytical Laboratory TechnicianPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Analytical Laboratory Technician to perform routine analytical testing on hydrocarbon- and water-based samples in support of Research & Development, Quality objectives, and Sales support initiatives. This role is responsible for executing analytical methods, maintaining laboratory instrumentation, and ensuring accurate, compliant data reporting in a safe and organized laboratory environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine analytical laboratory testing on hydrocarbon- and water-based samplesOperate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of dataExecute analytical methods and experiments in accordance with approved procedures, test methods, and safety guidelinesAccurately record, analyze, and interpret laboratory data with full traceability and compliance to laboratory standardsPrepare and maintain clear, well-documented laboratory records, reports, and data summariesCommunicate analytical results clearly and timely to scientists, engineers, and Sales teamsAssist other Analytical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as neededIdentify and diagnose anomalies in test results or instrumentationFollow all laboratory safety, quality, and housekeeping practices to maintain a compliant and organized work environmentPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a technical teamKnowledge of analytical testing techniques and laboratory instrumentationAbility to analyze data accurately and thoroughly document resultsEducation & ExperienceBachelor of Science in Chemistry preferredWill consider a combination of education and 5 years of relevant laboratory experience in lieu of a degree2–4 years of analytical laboratory experience preferredWork EnvironmentLaboratory-based role with exposure to chemical samples and analytical equipmentEmphasis on safety, accuracy, and data integrityCollaborative, science-driven environmentJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.RequirementsEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
