Senior Financial Modeling Engineer (Jupyter / Cloud Economics)We are seeking a highly technical Financial Modeling professional with strong expertise in Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and Excel-based driver models to support advanced FP&A and cloud economics initiatives.Must-Have ExperienceHands-on experience building production-grade financial models in Jupyter Notebooks (portfolio or GitHub required; analysis-only notebooks not sufficient)Strong proficiency in Python financial modeling stack including NumPy, Pandas, and SciPyProven experience implementing Monte Carlo simulations, including distribution fitting, correlated variable sampling, simulation design, and P10/P50/P90 analysisExperience using Plotly, Matplotlib, or Bokeh for financial visualization (waterfall, fan charts, tornado charts)Excel & Financial Modeling ExpertiseExperience working with or converting complex Excel LRP / 3-statement / driver-based financial modelsAbility to reverse-engineer Excel logic and translate into Python with validated accuracyStrong understanding of driver-based modeling frameworks, including volume, price, and rate driversExperience building scenario models (base, upside, downside) and sensitivity analysisData & Pipeline EngineeringExperience building Python-based ETL/ELT pipelines (API integration, pagination, schema normalization, incremental refresh)Strong SQL skills for data extraction from data warehouses and billing systemsExposure to data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or dbt is a plusModel Governance & AnalyticsExperience with model versioning beyond Git, including structured snapshotting of inputs, assumptions, and outputsStrong understanding of variance analysis / waterfall reporting (price-volume-mix, driver attribution)Ability to generate structured, automated financial commentary from model outputsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field10+ years in FP&A, financial modeling, or cloud economics roles5+ years hands-on experience with Python/Jupyter financial modelingStrong Git experience and collaborative development practices preferred
