Monday – Thursday. 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Fridays. Or 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and/or 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Monday – Friday depending on applicants schedule availability.Pay Grade Salary Hourly Pay Rate $15.00 FLSA Job Summary/Basic FunctionInstruct Upward Bound Students in grades 9-11 during a five-week summer academic programin an elective subject. Elective subjects can include but are not limited to arts and humanities,social sciences, health and physical education, business and technology, life skills and practicalarts, and other specialized areas. This will be an on-site teaching experience at the Weber StateOgden campus, 2-7 hours per day, 4 days a week, June 9th – July 10th.Required QualificationsCompletion of at least the sophomore year in a post-secondary institution with a major in a pertinent discipline or evidence of equivalent instructional knowledge and/or experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience and/or knowledge of the special problems of the minority, low income, first generation, and physically disabled students.Experience in tutoring, mentoring, and/or community service with high school level students.Seeking Applicants WithB.A./B.S. in the pertinent disciplineA graduate of TRiO program or experience in overcoming the challenges and/or circumstances similar to those of the target population.Background Check?
