Custodial and General Maintenance Technician

The Role This position is responsible for supporting the cleanliness, organization, and general upkeep of the facility. The role focuses primarily on janitorial and custodial duties including cleaning common areas, restrooms, locker rooms, and production support spaces, while also assisting with basic preventative maintenance tasks such as HVAC filter replacement and general facility upkeep. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment for all employees.Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of bathrooms, locker rooms, break areas, hallways, offices, and other facility spacesVacuum carpets, mop floors, sweep walkways, and maintain overall cleanliness throughout the facilityEmpty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility and transport waste to designated disposal areasRestock restroom and janitorial supplies including paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and cleaning materialsPerform routine laundry duties for facility-use items including rags, uniforms, or other reusable materialsClean and maintain floor surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicalsMaintain cleanliness and organization of janitorial closets, maintenance areas, and supply storage locationsPerform routine HVAC filter replacement, filter cleaning, and other basic preventative maintenance activitiesAssist with general facility upkeep including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and basic maintenance support as neededSupport unloading freight deliveries and moving supplies or materials when necessaryMaintain inventory of janitorial, maintenance, and repair suppliesComplete assigned work orders and routine facility tasks in a timely mannerPerforms all duties in a safe manner, following Company work rules and policiesEnsure compliance with all company policies & required training (Safety, Quality, Regulations, etc.)Help create a positive environment by maintaining a positive attitude and demonstrating self-motivationResearch, evaluate, and adapt to new methods or procedures in order to meet or exceed operational goals and maintain compliance with applicable regulationsEmployee must exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines set forth by Green Thumb Industries and applicable state regulations while working within the facilityQualifications High School Education or GED required; some college or college graduate preferred2+ years experience in maintenance or similar position preferredHighly knowledgeable with hand and power toolsHighly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulnessAdapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environmentPossesses a high level of critical thinkingOperates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential informationMust work well with others and be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure and technique.Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of GTIPrevious cannabis experience not requiredAdditional Requirements Must pass any and all required background checksMust be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industryMust possess valid drivers licenseMust be a minimum of 21 years of ageMust be approved by state regulating agency to receive cannabis agent badgeWorking Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crawling, seeing and repetitive motions.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to work on feet.
