This is a hands-on opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow within a collaborative accounting team. Responsibilities:Assist with monthly general ledger close processPrepare and post journal entriesPerform general ledger account reconciliationsComplete bank reconciliationsSupport internal and external financial reportingAssist with special projects and ad hoc accounting initiativesProvide support across the Accounting Department as neededContribute beyond core responsibilities to support overall company objectives and departmental goalsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting required0-3 years of general ledger accounting experienceKnowledge and understanding of GAAPProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with Word and OutlookExperience with QuickBooks preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong work ethic with willingness to support the team during peak periods and month-end deadlinesAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretionProperty management and/or residential construction industry experience is a plusKey Traits for Success:Hands-on and team-oriented mindsetStrong time management skillsReliable and deadline-drivenAdaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
