Our team is passionate about blending the latest technologies with music and entertainment business infrastructure to create tools and platforms that enable creativity.Job DescriptionWe're looking for our first Design leader - someone who can truly innovate when it comes to design in the world of artist resources. Most of all, we're looking for a candidate with the skills and drive to shape CreateBase's visual identity. The ideal candidate will have a passion for consumer facing interfaces as well as music. We want people who thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with product management and engineering, forming the third pillar of our development team. Develop and lead CreateBase's overall design strategy in alignment with the CreateBase’s vision and business goals, ensuring it remains fresh and innovative. Champion the visual and tactile aspects of the platform, especially with regard to how those aspects influence and delight users. Establish and enforce brand guidelines to maintain consistency across all touchpoints. Build effective workflow cadences and engage in mentorship with the rest of the design team. Identify and enact research to support design innovation and usability. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate user insights into the product development process. Advocate for the user and ensure their needs are at the forefront of design and development decisions. Foster a culture of user-centered design and evidence-based decision-making within the organization. QualificationsProven experience with customer-facing products, especially those that communicate complex information simply. Experience in design leadership and working with cross-functional teams including product and engineering. Experience with user research, A/B testing ExperienceCandidates should have 8+ years of relevant experience in UI/UX design, possessing a distinctive and intriguing artistic style.Additional NotesThis is a remote position. Our team is spread across the US, with the majority of folks on the West CoastCompensation is competitive early stage equity, transitioning to cash compensation post-fundraise
