STAFFING SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

Responsibilities: Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed, freestanding psychiatric hospital and outpatient center specializing in mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for a full time Staffing Scheduling Coordinator who is responsible for providing nursing staffing and support for the Chief Nursing Officer functions of the facility. Preparation of reports is also required as requested by the Chief Nursing Officer and/or Chief Executive Officer. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in hospital business office and/or human resources, preferably in a health care setting; or any combination of education, training or experience in a hospital business office. Training: Successful completion of CPR, First Aid, Crisis Management and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours. Essential Job Duties Maintains daily/master schedule records of nursing personnel utilizing Shift Hound Answers help desk calls and dispatches applicable parties Forecast staffing needs on a shift by shift basis as dictated by the census. Receive hospital report from off-going supervisor; provide report to oncoming supervisor of unit/staffing/hospital activities maintain accurate records of staff that have been called and recalled to fill staffing needs Calls in a timely manner and is proactive when assessing staffing needs.
