Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:The Clinical Educator Critical Care ICU /COU Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Siena campus, provides staff development expertise in their assigned specialty as an educator expert clinician consultant facilitator change agent leader patient advocate and researcher. Each supports the clinical and professional development of their staff with a goal of achieving excellence in the delivery of evidence based nursing practice. The Clinical Educator II facilitates the educational process through assessment development planning implementation and evaluation of competency continuing education and professional development.The Critical Care Clinical Educator will have responsibilities for Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Siena Campus for ICU / COUIn addition as a role model of professional behavior the Clinical Educator II assists in creating a professional nursing climate and supports our mission vision and values.Direct reporting to Nursing Director in assigned specialty and to the Director of Education.Job RequirementsMinimum:5 years of applied clinical experience as an RN in assigned specialty or as a Clinical Educator or Clinical InstructorMinimum of 5 years experience in Cardio-Vascular ICUMinimum of 2 - 3 years of Trauma/Neuro experience.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing Education or related area or current enrollment in a Master's Degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the Master's Degree program within three years.Will accept Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a Master's Degree in Nursing.Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.RN license from NV State Nursing Board.Preferred:* National certification in specialty or Professional Staff Development.* Instructor status in at least one of the mandatory certifications required for assigned specialty.Where You'll WorkAs the only not-for-profit, faith-based healthcare system in the area, Dignity Health Nevada, guided by the Adrian Dominican Sisters' vision for over 70 years, continues to serve the Henderson and Las Vegas communities.
