We Are Hiring We are currently hiring candidates for our paid Finisher training course, scheduled to begin February 13, 2026. This structured, hands-on training program teaches the skills needed to succeed as an Inflatable Boat Assembler. No prior experience in this field is required. Successful completion of the course leads to full-time, year-round employment. Position Overview Finisher (Inflatable Boat Assembler) Finishers handcraft inflatable rafts and sponsons to precise customer specifications using engineering drawings and blueprints. You will apply adhesives, bond materials, and ensure each product meets Wing’s quality and performance standards. Advanced finishers may assist with training, off-site repairs, or installation travel. Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:35 PM Location: Arcata, CA Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Key Responsibilities Mix and apply adhesives using brushes and rollers Bond components to sponsons or foam-core structures using rollers, scrapers, and hot air tools Measure and lay out accessories, chafe gear, lifelines, and logos Splice lifelines and perform baffle pressure tests Trim, clean, and assemble components Perform quality checks and follow build instructions Assist with packaging finished products Follow safety procedures and use required PPE Work Environment Indoor production setting with moderate noise Regular exposure to adhesives, fumes, and airborne particles Vision requirements include close vision, color distinction, depth perception, and focus adjustment Benefits 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance Health savings account (HSA) Paid time off Employee assistance program (EAP) Employee discounts Company-paid life insurance Referral bonus program QUALIFICATIONS Required: Must be at least 18 years old Able to bend, kneel, stoop, and maneuver in tight or low-clearance spaces on a daily basis Frequently able to lift and move items up to 90 lbs Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail Able to perform repetitive tasks such as pulling, pressing, trimming, and gluing Willing to wear a half-mask respirator when working with adhesives and chemicals No prior experience required — training is provided Steady full-time work and/or school history, with explainable gaps and strong professional references Ability to use tools such as rollers, heat guns, and other powered/manual hand tools Able to follow written and verbal instructions; basic math skills required Ability to carry out detailed instructions, apply sound judgment, and resolve issues efficiently Strong work ethic: deadline-driven, quality-focused, and dependable Punctual and reliable; willing to work overtime as needed and schedule time off in advance Preferred Attributes: Builds professional and respectful relationships across teams and departments Communicates clearly and effectively; open, approachable, and receptive to feedback Conducts self with professionalism and respect; promotes a discrimination-free workplace Willingly shares knowledge and supports team learning Manages multiple priorities with minimal disruption; organized and proactive Adapts well to unexpected challenges while maintaining focus on responsibilities Demonstrates a positive attitude and creative problem-solving skills Open to learning and applying new methods; sees challenges as opportunities for growth
