Sr Software Integration Engineer

Sr Java Software EngineerLocation: Austin, TX (Hybrid)Type: Contract to Hire (Client looking to convert as soon as 3-4 months)Shift: M-F (40 hr/week)Hours worked = Hours paid during contract periodDay to Day Responsibilities:Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.Design, develop, code, and test significant technical solutions collaborating with senior and lead engineers.Lead code/design reviews to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate planning at a team level.Organize work and lead team to deliver features and solutions.Independently resolves complex production issues and leads troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions that span multiple applications and systems.Mentor and coach junior engineers.May begin working with architecture to help influence directions for key technologies within a specific domain.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in related field of study or 4 additional years of I/T experience beyond the minimum required in lieu of a degree.AND, 6+ years of software engineering/development experience utilizing Java with 2+ years experience working with RESTful Web ServicesDemonstrated ability to independently research technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions.Preferred Experience:6 years experience unit testing3 years experience with agile2+ years experience integrating with backend services like JMS, J2C, ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA, JDO, etc), JDBCExperience with optimizing application performanceExperience with multi-threadingExperience working with messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)Experience leading dev efforts for teamRequired Skills: Java SpringBoot (Microservices) REST AWS Basic Qualification: 10+ years of domestic experience with Java Development Minimum of 5 years working with REST APIs and SpringBoot (Microservices) 3+ years of experience working in an AWS environment and migrating applications over to the cloud Additional Skills: 10+ years of domestic experience with Java Development Minimum of 5 years working with REST APIs and SpringBoot (Microservices) 3+ years of experience working in an AWS environment and migrating applications over to the cloud Background Check: Yes Drug Screen: Yes Notes: Looking for very senior resources.
