The Demand & Inventory Planner is responsible for managing inventory levels through the development and maintenance of accurate, adaptable demand and inventory forecasts. . This role plays a key part in supporting profitable growth by optimizing inventory across multiple sales channels and product categories.This role requires strong experience working with business intelligence tools and forecast modeling, along with a high level of comfort navigating and analyzing granular datasets. You will be expected to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and effectively communicate recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product leadership, and executive leadership.The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a strong foundation in retail math and inventory management principles. Success in this role requires the ability to synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data, strong proficiency in Excel and BI tools, advanced critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.Your ResponsibilitiesAnalyze product performance including sales mix, demand trends, channel contributions, and promo effectiveness to inform demand forecasts, inventory needs, and pricing decisionsSynthesize and translate robust datasets into clear insights and recommendations for cross-functional teams on a regular weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal cadencePartner with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Product teams to align inventory plans with business needsBuild and maintain demand and inventory forecasts across multiple product categories and sales channelsDetermine order mix, volume, and timing to support product strategies and financial goals through seasonal and quarterly buy-planningPartner with Production and Logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of purchase ordersMaintain accurate product and planning data, including product attribution, pricing, and purchase order information, to support forecasting and reporting integrityPresent analysis and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadershipContinuously improve forecasting accuracy and planning processes based on performance and trendsWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or equivalent experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in Inventory Management or Demand Planning in multi-channel retailAdvanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF formulas) with aptitude to learn new systems quicklyDetail-oriented with aHighly analytical with strong command of retail math, merch analytics, and forecasting methodologies including experience owning open-to-buys, SKU level forecastingAttention to detail and strong organizational skills, particularly in data accuracy and maintenancePrior experience with BI tools (Lookr, Tableau, Domo, SQL) and ERP System (NetSuite) and/or ShopifyAbility to work onsite at the San Francisco office at minimum 3 days per week per policy
