Intern

The Intern provides bank support by assisting with daily administrative tasks and contributing to projects across multiple departments. This cross-departmental internship offers hands-on exposure to various banking functions—including Operations, Lending, Compliance, Finance, and HR—providing a comprehensive understanding of how a financial institution operates. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Essential FunctionsOperations & Administrative Support: Maintain internal records, assist with document organization, and help update policies/procedures.Process Improvement: Help map banking workflows (e.g., account opening, loan setup, onboarding) and collaborate with departments to update SOPs, checklists, and customer-facing materials.Frontline Exposure: Observe client service operations to develop a strong understanding of client needs, service expectations, and how bank inquiries are handled ethically and efficiently. Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and special assignments, and research projects as assigned.Learning OpportunitiesInterns will gain cross-department insight and expand their knowledge of banking terminology, processes, and risk management. Exposure to the following bank departments may vary depending on assigned duties and placement.Business Banking: customer experience & branch operations Loan/Lending Operations: application workflows & documentation Compliance: risk, controls, and auditing Finance: budgeting, reconciliations, financial reporting Human Resources (HR): onboarding and development Information Technology (IT): digital banking and system supportProfessional SkillsBusiness writing, meeting facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration.Client service awareness and ethical decision-making.Understanding compliance, confidentiality, and operational controls.QualificationsPursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.Preferred 1-2 years of work experience (or equivalent), though not required.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.Highly detail-oriented and organized.Proactive, curious, and has a strong interest in the banking industry.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).The Bank reserves the right to change or modify the employee’s job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship.
