This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.HDR is looking for a Structural Coordinator / EIT to become part of our Building Engineering Services (BES) Business Group. This position may be based in any of our offices across Kentucky and Tennessee.In the role of Structural Coordinator, we'll count on you to: Design buildings for Data Centers which will include: new builds, retrofits and colocations.Design buildings for support of water bearing structures for local municipalities.Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for structural engineering projectsPerform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standards, techniques, and procedures.Give direction to clerical or technical personnel as neededAssist senior staff on site visits to evaluate field conditionsPerform structural observations during constructionPerform other duties as needed Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringEngineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Knowledge of construction and structural systems Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar commercial design software systems.Previous design experience (internship or full-time work experience) is a plusAbility to design in steel, concrete, and masonryKnowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, and other industry-relevant design codes and standardsUnderstanding of gravity and lateral analysis of structural systemsCandidates hired without their EIT will be titled "Coordinator" and are expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.Local candidates preferred Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Structural Engineering Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similarAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
