External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.Your role:The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) Endo/HIV is a crucial role within the Medical Affairs team, representing EMD Serono in the education of the healthcare community externally and leading the transfer of insights to drive strategic decision making internally. The Sr. MSL Endo/HIV is responsible for cultivating and maintaining collaborative relationships with influential members of the medical community to promote company, disease state and therapeutic awareness, in addition to serving as an advanced technical, scientific, and medical expert in the US HIV healthcare provider community for the assigned region. These relationships will build awareness of HIV associated wasting disease state and treatment options as well as our company's scientific leadership in the field.Location: Field-based, Assigned Territory: EastProvide in-depth scientific, clinical, and educational support to academic thought leaders and community decision makers through the dissemination of pertinent educational, scientific, and clinical information on HIV associated wasting and its treatmentCultivate and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders as peers whose opinions, disease and disease treatment insights and competitive knowledge provide direction to US Medical Affairs and EMD SeronoDisseminate to healthcare professionals state-of-the-art research and medical concepts related to the HIV associated wasting disease state, and the HIV associated wasting therapeutic landscape through one-to-one peer interactions and group learning activitiesLead Medical Affairs activities in your region coordinating with internal departments and external customersRepresent EMD Serono at medical events, programs, meetings, and conventionsLiaise with the US Medical Affairs Endo/HIV Team on the development and implementation of medical initiativesCommunicate research and development concepts, key field insights and competitive intelligence to appropriate internal stakeholdersAs appropriate, coordinate with Clinical Development and Endo/HIV Medical Affairs in providing field support for clinical research studiesAct as a liaison between investigators and Medical Affairs for the Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) programMaintain HCP and institutional profiling and visitation records for the territoryAdminister and monitor appropriate budget expenditures to meet the responsibilities as outlined aboveEnsure compliant use of field material and conduct of activitiesAct as a respected and highly regarded representative of EMD Serono by demonstrating our values, behaviors, and high impact cultureOther duties as assignedExtensive (70%) regional travel including overnight travel, national meetings, and may include international conferencesThis job description is intended to provide a general overview of the role and is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties associated with the positionWho you are:The Sr. MSL has clinical experience in treating individuals living with HIV, commands a comprehensive understanding of HIV associated wasting, and is an experienced Medical Affairs professional.Minimum Qualifications:MD, PA, PhD, PharmD or NP, with 3+ years of clinical experience treating individuals living with HIV3+ years in pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs. Related clinical research and patient care/investigational site experience may be consideredAdvanced scientific knowledge, relationship building and networking skillsAbility to maintain collaborative relationships within a dynamic team environmentAbility to communicate complex scientific and clinical information tailored to a wide-variety of audiences through multiple channelsEnglish language competencyExcellent communication skillsComfortable with extensive regional travel including overnight travel, national meetings, and potentially international conferencesLive within the assigned territory or within a reasonable commuting distancePreferred Qualifications:Individuals with Professional Certification by the American Academy of HIV Medicine (or a least proven eligibility to apply for certification)Clinical experience in treating HIV associated wasting.Fluency in SpanishLive within the assigned territoryAbility to communicate openly and share information to foster trust while encouraging constructive debate, making informed decisions, and ensuring shared commitment to outcomes.Demonstrated willingness to take risks and stand up for what is right while prioritizing the needs and experiences of customers and patients in all decisions.Commitment to setting and reaching ambitious goals and setting high standards while acting in the best interest of the company and taking initiative to drive results.Uphold ethical standards and being honest in all interactions.Ability to streamlining processes to focus on what matters and creates impact and acting quickly to adapt to changes.Demonstrated ability to embrace new ideas, challenge the status quo, and seek innovative solutions while valuing diverse perspectives and treating others with respect and dignity.Pay range for this position: $157,000 - $235,000. The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
