This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining sheeting equipment used to convert roll stock into finished sheets that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate has experience operating sheeters or similar converting equipment and is committed to producing quality products while maximizing machine efficiency. ️ Qualifications & Skills Required: High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of experience operating sheeting equipment or similar converting machinery Experience in printing, packaging, paper converting, or manufacturing Ability to perform machine setups and changeovers Experience with paper sheeters or web converting equipment Folding carton manufacturing experience Forklift experience Knowledge of SQF, GMP, HACCP, and food packaging standards Experience working in high-speed manufacturing environments Physical & Work Environment Stand and walk for extended periods during 12-hour shifts Frequently bend, reach, lift, and handle production materials Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Required use of PPE and adherence to all plant safety procedures Compensation & Benefits Direct Hire Opportunity $25.00–$30.00/hr Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) Health Savings Account (HSA) Paid Time Off Paid Leave Company-Paid Life Insurance Long-term career growth with a leading folding carton manufacturer Text "Sheeter Operator" to 847-576-4085 to apply or request more information! salary: $52,000 - $62,400 per year shift: First work hours: 5 AM - 5 PM education: High School Responsibilities Set up and operate sheeting equipment according to production schedules and job specifications Install and align rolls, knives, blades, and other tooling Adjust machine settings including sheet length, width, squareness, sheet count, and operating speed Coordinate with material handlers, helpers, and forklift operators to maintain production flow Inspect finished sheets for defects including tears, edge damage, contamination, skew, and scuffs Make machine adjustments to maintain quality standards and minimize waste Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot routine operating issues Report mechanical problems and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel Perform operator-level preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and equipment inspections Participate in shift handoffs and communicate machine status and production updates Maintain accurate production records and documentation Follow all SQF, GMP, food safety, PPE, and Lockout/Tagout procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean work area The essential functions of this role include: wearing steel toe shoes manual lifting up to 50lbs standing for 12 hours at one time Skills Set up Install rolls align rolls knives blades tooling sheet length squareness sheet count operating speed SQF GMP PPE Lockout/Tagout Qualifications Years of experience: 3 years Experience level: Experienced Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
