Our teams work at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and data to help clients make smarter energy and decarbonization decisions, manage risk more effectively, and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market.About the Role:Polar is advising its energy utility and large commercial and industrial clients on achieving exceptional results through energy transactions while streamlining, automating, and enhancing RFP processes.As the firm rapidly scales its energy transactional practice, we are seeking a highly effective Senior Energy Transactions and Commercial Manager who brings deep energy market expertise, the ability to impose structure and operating discipline, and a hands-on, ownership driven approach suited to a fast paced, high accountability environment.This role benefits from experience in utility procurement, power purchase agreements, competitive solicitations/RFPs, MISO markets, utility commission filings /regulatory work, and commercial contract negotiation.Role Summary: This is a hybrid role and requires 3 days a week on-site. The Senior Energy Transactions and Commercial Manager will support the customer’s Clean Energy Plan, including annual competitive solicitations for wholesale electric generation procurement, negotiation of large-scale PPAs, contract administration, regulatory reporting/testimony, and coordination with Legal, Credit, Accounting, and other internal teams.
