TITLE: Assistant Athletic TrainerTYPE OF POSITION: Part-time (.5 - 20 hours/week), anticipated Immediate start; salary commensurate with experience (range $23.44-$30.80/hour)LOCATION: High School, Hopkinton, MassachusettsAREA OF CONSIDERATION: All qualified candidatesThe .5 Assistant Athletic Trainer works directly with students and helps with the maintenance, assessment, rehabilitation, and evaluation of student-athletes' health, injuries, and other medical conditions. Work hours will vary by week, and include night and weekend work. The Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to the principal(s), the Head Athletic Trainer, and the Athletic Director.QUALIFICATIONS:Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Commonwealth of MA Licensure (LATC);First Aid and CPR Teaching Certification;Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, Master's Degree preferred;Experience working with adolescents;Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or Athletic Director may find appropriate and in conformity with state licensure requirements.DUTIES:Assists with oversight of operation and maintenance of Athletic Training Room;Serves as a resource for referrals, injury assessment, and on-site attention for student-athletes;Assists with injury prevention and rehabilitation for student-athletes;Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which activity is conducted or students are located at all times that members are present;Serves as first respondent for all home athletic events when the need for medical attention arises;Serves as site manager for various home athletic events;Serves as adjunct staff member of both Wellness and Athletic Department programs.Other duties, as assigned.Online is our preferred method of application, however, if you wish to apply by mail, please download and print the appropriate application form on our website: https://www.hopkinton.k12.ma.us/employment1Send your completed application to:Human ResourcesHopkinton Public Schools89 Hayden Rowe St.Hopkinton, MA 01748Incomplete applications are not able to be considered.
