Flatbed Driver Class A

Weekly Regional SE Route. Must be willing to join union. CAM Express is a traditional trucking operation and we are in search of a reliable driver to become a part of our team. We welcome AUTOMATIC Restriction, if you have perferred driving experience. We value our drivers because our company is built by drivers! Hiring for a Flatbed driver. Typical loads are SE regional flatbed runs on 48 foot step deck. Flatbeds are loaded with lumber, or bricks on dedicated SE routes. Home most weekends. 9 Holidays off, Fuel cards, TARP PAY. Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Secure protective tarp covers on freight when requested Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving in electronic log device Retain fuel/toll receipts Document and sign load sheets regularly for each stage of the loading and unloading process Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license 1 year Flatbed experience 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience Interest in hauling Hopper Bottom trailer Experience operating manual transmission Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $1,600.00 per week Benefits: Fuel card Paid time off Application Question(s): Do you have experience with mountains?
