Posting DetailsPosition InformationJob DescriptionRHS Job Title Front Office Systems Associate Job DescriptionPay Rate- 16.00ResponsibilitiesAs the Front Office Systems Associate, you will perform routine clerical responsibilities for the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center as well as support the hotel’s system needs. – Front Office Team. You will learn “real-world” skills like time management, professional excellence, balancing priorities, interpersonal communication, and working as part of a diverse team. You will also gain a deep understanding of operational functions and how to build relationships. You will work with the Front Office management staff and our engineering, housekeeping, events, sales, and culinary partners to ensure the operations at the hotel are going well. You will represent the face of the hotel while providing leadership and outstanding customer service. Typical job duties of this team member include: Provide technical support for hotel operational systems, including Property Management Systems (PMS), reservation platforms, and RFID-based key card access systems Diagnose and troubleshoot integration issues between RFID card readers, access control hardware, and PMS software from different vendors to ensure reliable system interoperability Analyze system behavior and communication failures between hardware (RFID scanners, encoders) and software systems, identifying root causes and coordinating resolution Perform data validation and consistency checks across transactional systems to ensure accuracy of guest access credentials, room assignments, and system logs Monitor system performance and assist in resolving issues related to device communication, network connectivity, and software responsiveness Document recurring technical issues, system interactions, and troubleshooting steps to improve long-term reliability and maintainability of operational systems Support continuous operation of front office technologies in a real-time production environment Provide outstanding customer service to a diverse range of guests Actively engage with guests to create a welcoming and professional environment Assist guests with luggage, directions, and general inquiries Answer phones, perform data entry, and maintain accurate records and accounts Ensure accurate guest folios and financial transactions Check guests in and out efficiently while managing multiple service prioritiesDuties associated with this position may involve light to moderate physical effort, including lifting, bending, and daily computer use.This position is not for MSU students, as it is a non-student position.Required QualificationsMust be a non-student employeeAbility to consistently work assigned shiftsAbility to frequently lift 20 lbs or moreMust have at least one semester of experience working at the Kellogg Center Front DeskPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a hotel or resort setting preferredStrong commitment to delivering exceptional guest serviceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environmentEqual Employment Opportunity StatementAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, age, disability or protected veteran status.Physical DemandsFrequent lifting of 20 lbs or moreWork Hours Work Location Kellogg Center (Loc)Posting Detail InformationPosting Number 20161990P Open Date 05/08/2026 Close Date 05/15/2026 Open Until Filled No Special InstructionsN/ASupplemental QuestionsRequired fields are indicated with an asterisk (*).Are you currently a MSU student?YesNoDo you have at least one semester of experience working at the Kellogg Hotel?YesNoDocuments Needed To ApplyRequired DocumentsResumeOptional DocumentsCover Letter
