Benefits include paid time off, employer 401(k) contribution, Roth 401(k) plan, bonuses, and paid vacation.ResponsibilitiesFinancial and Accounting Department managementOversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsPreparation of financial statements for interested partiesManage payroll tax obligations and complianceEvaluate options and upgrade accounting systems and software as neededCash management including maintaining cash flow projections and managing cash flow between entitiesMaintain financial and accounting functions and records integrityEvaluate and improve accounting procedures and functionsDevelop procedures for monthly or quarterly account reconciliations as neededOversee sales tax and property tax reporting and paymentAssist staff with census and other government reportingAssist with federal, state, and local tax or other audits as neededManage business insurance policiesMaintain banking relationshipsWork with Tax Department and outside tax consultants as neededAdministrative Department managementOversee administrative personnel and responsibilitiesCoordination and assistance with Human Resources DepartmentMonitor regulatory or tax changes affecting the HR Department and coordinate for complianceAssist HR Department with 401k administration and annual auditsServe as back-up for HR functions as neededOtherWork closely with executives and legal/tax teams to plan and assist with business entity mattersCommunicate regularly with executives on financial, accounting, and other mattersSupervise, train, and professionally develop direct report employeesEncourage team culture with collaboration and cross-training of all functions, building team trust and cohesivenessHold team members accountable for procedures and assigned tasks with measurable metricsDesired Skills and CharacteristicsEffective communicator, both written and verbalFlexible and adaptablePositive attitude and helpful nature, even under stressEffective time management and organizational skillsAbility to encourage and motivate team membersAbility to accurately digest and assist with details, while maintaining a broad perspective of overarching financial and accounting goalsConfident and proven good decision makerStrong ethical standards with high level of integrityHumbleQualificationsMinimum 7 years of accounting experience3+ years supervisory experienceAbout Our CompanyAt BRE, our mission is to be a world-class provider of superior process simulation software, providing outstanding training and excellent support to our valued clients.
