Job DescriptionAbout the PositionWe Are Seeking a Full-time Associate Or Senior Associate With Experience And Interest In Land Use/development Code Drafting. This Practice Area InvolvesDrafting innovative and user-friendly zoning and land use regulations to implement local plans;Understanding and applying local government policy choices to regulatory approaches;Research and analysis of trends and best practices;Preparation of community outreach materials and participation in public meetings;Preparation and proofreading of complex and graphic-rich code documents; andAssisting with creation of project proposals and marketing materials.As a small, collaborative firm, we value flexibility and willingness to support the team needs across a variety of projects.About The Right CandidateOur preference is for this position to be hybrid, with at least two days per week working in our downtown Denver office. We may consider a fully remote position for the right candidate.Strong Candidates For The Position Meet The FollowingHave an undergraduate or master's degree in urban planning or a law degree and at least 2 years of professional work experience for the Associate position, or 3-5 years for the Senior Associate positionExperience writing or applying and interpreting land use regulations, or managing local government code update processDevelopment review/current planning experience that includes the responsibility to interpret regulations as they apply to land use applicationsStrong writing skills, preferably with technical writing experienceProficiency in Word and Excel and familiarity with PowerPoint.
