At Prosper-Tech Machine & Tool , this position plays a key role in developing and optimizing CNC turning processes for high-mix, small-batch components used in Aerospace, Space, Defense, and Medical Device applications. This is not a "monitor the machine" role — it's a hands-on engineering position focused on precision, process control, and continuous improvement.

The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Program and optimize multi-axis CNC turning centers
Set up and validate new machining processes
Select tooling, determine workholding, and refine cutting strategies
Develop setup sheets and process documentation
Estimate cycle times, tooling cost, and production flow
Perform first-article validation and in-process troubleshooting
Adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and tool paths to maintain quality
Train and support setup machinists and operators
Collaborate with leadership, planners, QC, and machinists
Support compliance with ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality standards
This is a high-impact role in a professional, quality-driven shop environment.

Machines, Controls & Software
You'll work with equipment such as:
Machines: Multi-channel dual-turret turn-mill lathes with sub-spindles
Controls: Fanuc
CAM Software: Hypermill (Mastercam or similar experience transferable)
Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, indicators, bore gauges

What We're Looking ForRequired:
5+ years of CNC turning and programming experience
Experience with live tooling, Y-axis, and sub-spindle lathes
Strong proficiency with Fanuc controls
Experience with Hypermill or similar CAM software
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
Ability to design tooling and fixturing solutions
Process-driven mindset with troubleshooting ability
Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented
Preferred (Not Required):
Aerospace or Medical machining experience
Multi-axis or turn-mill experience
Engineering degree (Manufacturing, Mechanical, xtnlbfm or related field)
