CNC Programmer

CNC ProgrammerPay: $25-$35/hour Location: Outside of Albany, NY Employment Type: Full-timeOur client is looking for a CNC Programmer responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of CNC programs, toolpaths, post processors, and CNC automation solutions. This role serves as the technical owner of CAM programming, programming standards, and automation technologies, ensuring efficient, consistent, and reliable program execution across CNC machining operations.Principal ResponsibilitiesServe as the technical owner of CAM programming for CNC manufacturing operationsDevelop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs and post processorsOptimize machining toolpaths to improve cycle time, tool life, surface finish, and overall machine performanceEstablish and maintain CNC programming standards, best practices, and documentationDevelop and support CNC automation solutions, including macros, probing routines, parametric programming, and other machine-control enhancementsValidate programs through prove-out activities and resolve programming-related manufacturing issuesImplement manufacturing processes and machining strategies defined by process engineeringIdentify and implement programming improvements to increase efficiency, consistency, and manufacturing capability Qualification RequirementsTechnical degree, certification, or equivalent experience in CNC programming and machiningProficiency with CAM software for CNC program and toolpath developmentStrong understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling, cutting parameters, and machine controlsExperience developing and implementing CNC automation solutions, including macros, probing routines, parametric programming, and related machine-control technologiesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs, toolpaths, and post processors To see a full listing of all our open positions, please visit: https://www.redshiftrecruiting.com/jobs-hiring-near-meredShift Recruiting is the region's premier recruiting agency with over 100 years of combined experience in the recruiting field.
